Kansas City International Airport Debuts Guest Pass Program

June 30, 2025

Kansas City International Airport (MCI) is pleased to announce the launch of its new Guest Pass program, allowing the non-traveling public to apply for an online visitor pass that grants access to the post-security side of the terminal. This new initiative enables individuals to greet their family and friends at their arriving gate, spend more quality time together during departures, and enjoy the exceptional amenities available at MCI.

The Guest Pass program was created in partnership with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and will, for the first time, allow non-ticketed visitors the opportunity to access the public areas of MCI’s award-winning terminal past the security checkpoint.

To obtain a free Guest Pass, individuals can visit www.flykc.com/guestpass and complete the simple and secure online application up to seven days in advance of use. If approved, visitors will receive their Guest Pass via email, which they will use in conjunction with a TSA approved ID, to proceed through the checkpoint.

“The Guest Pass program makes Kansas City International Airport more accessible than ever,” said Melissa Cooper, Director of Aviation for the Kansas City Aviation Department. “Whether spending more time with family and friends, appreciating art, or shopping and dining, we look forward to welcoming new visitors to MCI.”

While utilizing a Guest Pass at MCI, it is essential to note that visitors are still subject to the same security regulations as traveling passengers. All information provided during the application process will be run through TSA’s Secure Flight system to ensure compliance with safety protocols.

Additional information about the Guest Pass program can be found at www.flykc.com/guestpass.
