Full-Time USO Center Now Open for Service Members

Post Date:02/24/2022 8:00 AM
Dallas Love Field has again improved its amenities by adding a USO center in the secured portion of the terminal.

Active duty, Reserve, and Guard U.S. Armed Forces members and their families can use the USO center while traveling through DAL. The USO-DAL center is open seven days a week on limited hours through February and from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., beginning March 1.

Annually, during the holiday season, Love Field partners with USO during the “military exodus” for basic trainees traveling home to visit their families over the holidays. DAL and USO set up a temporary center in the airport’s Flight Deck Conference Center.

“We’ve had a long relationship with USO with exodus and several other events throughout the years,” Department of Aviation Director Mark Duebner said. “It’s been a goal for a long time to set up a permanent center so our service members have the comfort they deserve while traveling through DAL.”

USO centers are commonplace at airports across the United States and provide a comforting environment for service members to have a snack, relax, or connect with loved ones. USO volunteers and staff manage the center.

The USO-DAL is in the stem portion of the terminal near the Dallas Cowboys Club and Creative Kidstuff.
